Profile

       Adivasi Arts and Commerce College is managed by Gujarat Adivasi Vikas Parishad, Dahod (Gujarat). The president Mr. Somjibhai Damor, a man with a vision, started this college in the year 1980 in this remote area of Gujarat with the sole purpose of uplifting the standard of education among tribal. There were other colleges also in the surrounding area but the tribal students of this area were not able to avail the facilities of education fully. The major reason behind starting this college was to educate the tribal and to make them aware of their rights. Since the starting till date, the institution has produced thousands of graduates; many of them are in the government jobs occupying higher positions.

This grant-in-aid institution provides two programmes to the students namely B.A. and B.Com. Since the institution is grant-in-aid, we follow the rules and regulations of Hemchandreacharya North Gujarat University and State Government.

Our OBJECTIVES

1) To impart scientific and technological knowledge with reference to the modern age. To help young learners realize that science and technology, both hand in hand can enrich and develop personality, thus promising a life of advancement and success.
2) To train the youth to develop self - confidence within themselves so that they can live as enlightened, dutiful and responsible citizens with the ideal of co-existence.

Our Mission

1. To organize various literary ad cultural activities for students in order to enable them to achieve better understanding of life and personality development and educational excellence.
2. To create a suitable atmosphere for education and research. To initiate the students to become practical in their life through education and create genuine interest in them for studies/education.
3. To take such creative steps as to enable the students to express in an original manner and assert themselves effectively.
4. To organize various programmes which will help the students to recognize and realize their potentialities and efficiencies for the creation of modern society and become participants in he nation’s progress.
5. To train the students in sports and games and to provide them with various facilities for physical training and excel in this field.
6. To inculcate a sense of patriotism, brotherhood and peaceful co-existence with every member of society.
7. To prepare the students to face the challenges of the modern times and to provide them with opportunities to work in the field of their choice after education.

Our Vision

1. To nurture and develop the Social, Educational, Literary Culture and economic identity of the tribal poor and other disadvantaged people of North Gujarat,
2. To undertake such educational, cultural and extra curricular activities so as to enable the students to achieve all round development.
3. To undertake such meaningful research which promotes scientific temperament of the people of the region and keep pace with changing global situation as well as the requirement of the local condition.
